Brent Nelson
Brent started in the industry in 1997 with laying sod. The following year he moved to lawn care and obtained his chemical applicators license. After two years he began working with irrigation. In 2002 he started working on a golf course dealing with all aspects of the course. He also took part in construction of the course building water features and installing landscaping. After 4 years he moved to sports turf taking care of the intramural sports fields at the University of Nebraska Lincoln. In 2007 he graduated from the University of Nebraska Lincoln with a bachelors degree in horticulture. Then in 2008 he began working for a property management company. He was responsible for overseeing a crew of 14 to take care of 3.18 million square feet of lawn, landscaping, and irrigation. Over the next 10 years he learned the best products and methods to making grounds look good at the most economical price. In 2016 he purchased Custom Lawn Care where it evolved and officially became Custom Grounds Management in 2018. During this time Brent decided to focus solely on providing CGM's customers with the knowledge and expertise he has in grounds management.
